  • A lot easier to see when things were free and out. A lot less worry that someone will take your booking.

  • Great - made checking out infinitely easier - SO much better than paper system that no one did properly before, and definitely will have lost a lot less stuff.

  • Siso helped my learning because it meant I could see everything that was on offer for us at school and I had the ability to rent out whatever I wanted. It also meant that if stuff went missing or got broken you could find out who did it before you from talking to Isaac.

  • It's good because it requires students to organise stuff and makes its really easy to book out gear.

  • I feel the rental system was a good experience and made the booking of gear smooth and easy. It was also good to have the videos before booking gear to confirm that we were ready to use the items.

  • The SISO booking system was a well implemented process which was quite efficient and had a positive effect on my learning.

Oxford University Hospitals employ over 10,000 staff and have four hospital sites. It is therefore important to have a centralised system for recording medical device training which is also linked to the electronic staff record so that records relate to existing staff. We chose the SiSo system for this purpose as it is very easy to use and can generate the reports we require at the touch of a button.

We have worked closely with SiSo to tailor the system to produce the data we will require to demonstrate NHSLA compliance and we have found their team extremely responsive and keen to help us to achieve what we require from it.

They are continually developing and improving the software in line with suggestions from customers and, unlike many other companies, changes are made within a short time frame, smaller changes are often made while we are talking to them over the phone!

We also use this system to administer our equipment libraries and have found that with SiSo this becomes much simpler and more efficient. Administering loans can be done using a barcode reader and the status of loans can be seen very easily.

We have found it extremely user-friendly, requiring only a minimum of training.

The Media Support Group was tasked to source a web based product to provide an asset management solution that incorporated resource allocation, resource booking, resource tracking and maintenance scheduling. There did not appear to be products readily available that coped with the scheduling complexities of media resources.

Full web access for user registration and bookings, fully automated email notifications for loan requests, penalty notifications and tutor countersignature audit trail.

Simple and logical solutions (from an end user perspective) have sped up processes and procedures, the combination of tagged equipment, barcode swipe cards and intuitive software interfaces has greatly improved administration efficiency. SiSo as a system is a product that is flexible, lightweight on the network, reliable, and has excellent application potential for a multitude of time based situations with associated implications and limitations."

"We have recently moved our entire system over to SiSo and all I can say is it was the right move.

We looked to SiSo as it offered the integration of both bookings and risk assessments. We started using the risk assessment side of the system in February this year and the students and staff found it very easy to use and understand. Over the summer we transitioned our equipment over from our previous system and went live with the bookings at the beginning of September. All the comments from students and staff have been very positive and the majority have been able to use the system with very little training.

At first it seemed like a very daunting task to transfer the thousands of pieces of equipment we have from the old system but this was a very simple process with all equipment entered onto a spread sheet and uploaded in one go.

We've been able to link SiSo into our university systems so all our users have been pulled into SiSo automatically so no need to make people register.

Our technicians are finding the auto training feature for equipment very useful as it has meant that they have been able to free up their time that would normally be taken up with inductions.

Being able to use a digital signature tablet has virtually removed any need to print booking forms reducing the paperwork.

Having the system linked to the university systems also means we are in the process of setting it up so we can use the RFID chips in the student/staff smartcards to access bookings and bring up student details.

Having various notification options built in has removed the need to manually email students saving a vast amount of time.

The look and feel is also a massive improvement over the old system we had in my opinion.

I must also say that the support from the guys at SiSo is first rate. Any problems, questions or issues are dealt with very quickly and they are very open to suggestions for improvements.

As the system works so well we now have one of our other faculties using the system too. I've found SiSo to be a fantastic well thought out piece of software that is miles ahead of anything else on the market.

"SiSo is a complete package deal for the price - support, updates, licensing, hosting (with the option for on-premise) and no hidden extras.

In all my years in IT, I've never experienced such pleasant, speedy and transparent comms and support as with Bernie and Steve.

It packs so much power and configurability, doesn't take long to get used to and our students like it just fine!

In our case, SiSo has allowed us to rework a number of our processes, bringing them up to code - PAT testing, inventory management, equipment lifecycle management, risk-assessments and repair management. In addition to this, it's allowed us to roll out a long-requested service; digital booking of academic staff by students for 1on1 tutoring (we were using bits of A4 on doors before now).

We've also started using SiSo for managing our print cartridge stock and are looking to begin using it to track payments for other consumables that we sell (finance approval pending) - DVDs, DV tapes, etc. All of this is in addition to our main usage of SiSo - equipment bookings.
